Peyton Hope Barron was the younger sister and best pal of her big sister Brooklyn.
She was diagnosed at the age of 2 ½ with anaplastic ependymoma, a type of brain cancer. She fought hard for 3 years and lived life with a smile and never-ending joy. In March 2017 her father, Tommy, became involved with St Baldricks. Peyton was by his side that year and they had a lot of fun. A mere 6 months later Peyton earned her wings. Following her death, Tommy was determined to push through his grief stay active with St Baldricks. With support from his wife, Carly, Brooklyn, and many family and friends he has continued raise significant funds for pediatric cancer research. The Slicks of Hope fund honor’s Peyton’s legacy, spreads her story, and continues her family’s efforts to work toward a cure.
Donations given to the Slicks of Hope Fund go directly to the St. Baldrick's Foundation to fund lifesaving childhood cancer research around the world. The Foundation is guided by a Scientific Advisory Committee, comprised of leading experts in the childhood cancer community, to ensure that every dollar makes the greatest impact for kids with cancer.
