The St. Baldrick's Foundation is proud to support the Princess Maxima Center for Pediatric Oncology with funding for innovative research.
The Princess Máxima Center mission is to cure every child with cancer, with optimum quality of life.
In the Netherlands, one in four children diagnosed with cancer still dies from this disease. In 2007, this was the reason for parents of patients and leading pediatric oncologists to take initiative and set up a unified national center for childhood cancer: the Princess Máxima Center. This is where all care, research and training in the field of pediatric oncology come together. The concentration of knowledge and close cooperation among all disciplines lead to more children with cancer being cured. Opened in Spring 2018, the Princess Máxima Center is Europe’s largest childhood cancer center, receiving a top 5 ranking worldwide.
