In Germany, approximately 2000 children and teenagers are annually diagnosed with cancer.
The German Childhood Cancer Foundation offers help to children with malignant diseases and their families.
Fortunately, today about 80% of the children with malignancies can be cured. The recovered children should be able to live a normal life, without late effects, and should be integrated in their social environment. They should grow up like other children, with the same chances and possibilities to fulfil their dreams.
For this reason, the German Childhood Cancer Foundation raises funds for intensive medical research on cancer in childhood in order to provide optimal treatment.
Means that will be collected through the partnership with St. Baldrick’s head shaving events will be used to support research projects in the pediatric cancer centers in Germany. Funds raised in Germany will remain in Germany.
