Chicago is helping conquer kids’ cancer
Radius Search
Since 2004, St. Baldrick’s head-shaving events in Chicago have raised over $61.6 million for childhood cancer research!
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation has granted over $354 million to support the most promising research, making it the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants in the U.S. and around the world. Many of these grants fund research in Chicago and surrounding areas in Illinois, including research at the University of Illinois – Chicago, The University of Chicago, the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital, and many other local institutions. These grants help give more kids access to clinical trials, which are often their best hope for a cure, train the next generation of pediatric oncologists, and fund specific childhood cancer research projects.
