Happy New Year!!!! 2015 is going to be a great year. I just know it!
A couple of young ladies I teach piano lessons to decided they wanted to shave their heads for St. Baldrick's Foundation this year with their piano teacher....so guess what??? I'm shaving my head again! It's been 5 years since I last shaved my head for St.Baldrick's Foundation. And my students want to raise $10,000 as a team. Quite a feat!
It was quite an experience last time. It definitely changed my life. I learned in a moment how much hair doesn't matter. My children, their health, THAT is what matters. Having three wonderful (yet highly energetic) boys in my life I have realized how blessed I am. This is what I am choosing to do to give back. So many parents have sick kids, kids with cancer. I cannot imagine. Think about a child you love in your life, imagine that child dying from cancer. The mere idea is heartbreaking. It's going to take a lot of money, and a lot of research, but I believe we can cure kids Cancer.
I lost a special person in my life, this year to non Hodgkin's lymphoma. She had 6 weeks from diagnosis to the end of her life. She would want me to do this. She would be my biggest cheerleader. We talked about how ANY cancer research is research. Could we find a cure/treatment to other cancers while researching pediatric cancer?
On March 21st, I'm going to shave my head. Two young ladies who want to make a difference are going to join me. We are three girls doing what we can to make a difference. Please donate what you can to support our cause. Even $5...if everyone I send this email to donated $5 we'd have a GREAT start.
It's so easy. Just click on the link. If you would like to help me raise funds, I'm ready to do what it takes. $10,000 is a big goal, but I know we can do it.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration.
