Celebrating 25 Years

Ihm Shaving is back again raising money to help support childhood cancer research with the hopes of ending childhood cancer altogether! We are not only shaving our heads to honor Gwendolyn and my cousin (Sean's namesake) but to also honor the approximately 13,500 children diagnosed with some type of cancer this past year and the more than 40,000 children who will receive chemotherapy to treat their cancer this year!

Last year Gwendolyn could not watch us shave because she was in the pediatric icu. She was in heart failure. Heart failure attributed to one of the chemotherapy drugs she received during her treatment. Imagine trying to save your life by taking poison. That's what these kids have to endure. Nearly 2/3 of childhood cancer survivors will experience significant and chronic medical problems or develop secondary cancers that are a direct result from the treatment they receive for their original cancer. Unfortunately, we are already living through this with Gwen. So, if a cure can not be found today, safer ways to treat this disease must be found. St. Baldrick's supports this as well!

Please consider donating to St. Baldrick's today, for the cure may be found tomorrow! Thank you and God Bless.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

It's all about the kids. Let's fund childhood cancer research to help kids grow up cancer-free. Get involved or make a donation today, and click a photo below to see why we need cures now.
