Friends and family: On March 14th our team, Team Renner aka Team Alicia will be shaving their heads to raise funds for Children’s Cancer Research. This will be our 11th year and it is in Fado’s Irish Pub downtown. So please come along if you can. To date we have raised over $250,000 over the last ten years. Over that period our niece/friend/daughter Alicia was diagnosed Ewing’s on May 25th 2007. She was released from UIC after she finished the Ewing’s protocol (6 rounds of high dose chemo and 31 rounds of radiation to 5 points on her body) and had a high dose of chemo with antilogous stem cell rescue on March 30 2008. She will be 6 years with No Evidence of Disease (NED) in April. Every day NED is one day closer to being considered cured. She has had some late affects and scares but no recurrences. She is currently enrolled at Kennedy King colleges Washburn culinary institute with a goal of becoming a chef. So please join us in honoring Alicia and so many other kids that need our help! Be a hero and hit the below link. It takes about three minutes to make a difference in so many lives! Please share with your friends and colleagues. We thank you from the bottom or our hearts!
