Libby and I are teaming up once more to support St. Baldrick’s with our locks, our love, and our loot. On March 15th, we will shave our heads in solidarity with kids who are diagnosed with and fighting cancer.
At various points in our lives cancer has touched kids that we know and love (about 1 in 300 boys and 1 in 333 girls will have cancer before they turn 20). Many of us have personal stories to tell and tragedies to mourn because of pediatric cancer. And we also have triumphs to celebrate! While the losses take their tolls, the triumphs lift our hearts and our spirits, and inspire us to do more than we believed we could. Our participation with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation (and your support of it!) has allowed us to see the triumph and celebration in action.
Last year, St. Baldrick’s events raised more than $33 million ($100,000,000 in childhood cancer research grants have been awarded since 2005). Libby and I hope to do our small part to help raise even more money this year. Please join us in this effort by donating or helping to spread the word about the foundation’s work.
