Hey Everyone,
I’m going to do something pretty extreme, and I’m writing to ask you to join me in one of two ways: You can do what I’m doing, or you can support me with a donation for childhood cancer research!
What am I doing? I’m going to have my head shaved at a St. Baldrick’s Foundation event.
Please come out and watch the fun on March 3rd, 2013 at Andrew Warde High School in Fairfield.
With my bald head, I’ll stand in solidarity with kids being treated for cancer. But the real point of all this is to raise money for life-saving research. I’m doing it for infants, children, teens, young adults and big boys like my husband, fighting cancer. While it’s especially hard to think of kids fighting cancer, I’m also glad to know that some of the research supported by this foundation ultimately helps to fight all cancers (including ours).
Please make a donation on my head and come watch us “Shaving the Way to Conquer Kids’ Cancer!”
To see my donor names, fundraising progress, before and after photos, and - most important - the kids I’m doing this for, please visit my page on the St. Baldrick’s website

I can assure you this gift will be used responsibly. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants. This is a volunteer-driven charity, which keeps fundraising costs low and grants high. In 2012 alone, St. Baldrick’s granted more than $23 million for research – almost all raised by more than 31,000 “shavees” like me, from people like you!
You can give online (search for me at www.StBaldricks.org) or by phone (888-899-BALD). Credit cards are the most efficient way to give, or you can write a check payable to “St. Baldrick’s Foundation.” I’ll be collecting pledges!
This is a fun way to do something that means a lot to John and me. Thank you for your support and if I've forgotten anyone feel free to forward this along!
Love and hugs,
S~
