When Sofia was 18 months old she was diagnosed with Leukemia (ALL). Big brother was 4 years old at that time and didn't understand cancer. He only knew that his sister was in the hospital much of the next 2 1/2 years and that mom or dad would be gone with her each time. He also saw her go from a cute toddler with pigtails to a bald little girl with the steroid-induced chubby face. Now, Andreas shaves his head in honor of her each year. This is his third year. He is now joined by his friend Kyle and his Sunday School principal and other friends from his former school. All now St Baldricks shavees! Go Team Sofia!!
We've teamed up to have our heads shaved – to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
Please support us with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when we ask for your support, we're really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
