The beautiful little girl whose picture is on the left side of this page has brought more joy to this world in her four and a half short years than any of us deserve. Little Miss Lyla is smart, sassy, sweet, but most of all STRONG. Her family and friends only wish we didn't have to see how strong she has had to be over the past few weeks. This picture was taken on her first day of preschool, August 18, 2011. A few months later, in December 2011, she was diagnosed with stage 1 Dygerminoma. This cancer is very curable and Lyla is currently undergoing chemotherapy as a precaution. The fact that it is a precaution is a relief to all of us who know and love her. Unfortunately, however, many beautiful children are not in that same situation and her friends and family want to do everything they can to help find a cure for childhood cancer. Please join us in supporting Lyla, her family, classmates, friends, neighbors and all children struggling with childhood cancer by making a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation or by joining our team (consisting primarily of men who have already started balding, but also two of Lyla's amazing aunts who have committed to shaving their gorgeous blond locks!) to have your head shaved in honor of these brave kids losing their hair to chemotherapy.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

It's all about the kids. Let's fund childhood cancer research to help kids grow up cancer-free. Get involved or make a donation today, and click a photo below to see why we need cures now.
