Sophie Elise Day was born April 9, 2005. She weighed 9 pounds 11 ounces and was a perfectly healthy and beautiful baby. She had beautiful blonde hair and blue eyes like her mommy. As she began her life she quickly became our princess. She was so sweet and loving. She loved to sing with her daddy when he would practice his music. And she loved to sit on the counter and "help" cook whether she was at home or at her Nana Connie and Pappa Thom's house. In the mornings she would come in and wake up mommy so they could sing "If You're Happy and You Know It". When daddy would come home from work she would be the first one to greet him at the door yelling "Daddy's home" and give him a big hug on the leg. She knew how to make people feel loved. AML struck her body, her life and our family in 2007. Our angel went to heaven on September 20th 2007. No parent should ever again have to bury their child because of childhood cancer. No grandparent should have to say goodbye to their grandchild because of childhood cancer. And no brother should have to sit through his little sister's funeral wondering, why? Join with us as we honor the memory of Sophie Elise Day and as we show solidarity with those children fighting cancer. Join us as we Grow It! Shave It! Beat It! We are Shaving the Way to Conquer Kids' Cancer.
