We are running the Cayman Islands marathon on December 6th raise money for childhood cancer research!

For most of us, life has changed this year, but what hasn’t changed is that kids still need cures for cancer. Every 2 minutes a family receives the devastating news that their child has cancer. So, on 6th December, we will be lacing up our running shoes and taking to the streets of Grand Cayman for the annual Marathon.

One 'tortoise' is running the full marathon distance competing against the rest of our hares who are running as a relay team all of which is to raise funds for Hannah’s Heroes, a hero fund of the St Baldrick’s Foundation.

It is quite out of character for any of the "Hannah’s Hares" team to be up and out before daybreak on a Sunday morning, but more than ever this year the St Baldrick’s Foundation needs folks like you and me to ensure they can continue to fund the most promising childhood cancer research and save kids' lives. This year contributions to St Baldrick’s are down $12M and the Foundation anticipate a $10M decline in grant funding due to COVID.

Since 2013 Hannah’s Heroes has raised over US $2.4 million for St Baldrick’s, which has led to 11 separate life-changing research grants being awarded at some of the most prestigious research institutes across the US, including John Hopkins in Baltimore, the Dana Farber Institute in Boston and Duke University in North Carolina, where researchers are working on life-changing treatments and cures funded by St Baldrick’s research grants named in honour of Hannah and Cayman’s childhood cancer heroes. Together, we have already made a tremendous difference, but the fight goes on and WE NEED YOU!

Your donation will ensure that hope isn’t put on hold for these children. You don’t even have to get out of bed early on a Sunday morning to take part - just hit the link, donate, the team will do the rest!

Thanks in advance for your support.
