This will be the 10th consecutive year for the Jen's Ducks team shaving our heads for the St Baldrick's Foundation. Our team was named in honor of my daughter Jennifer Accardo and her love of Ducks. Jennifer was a committee member for the Northport events while she battled her cancer. She was diagnosed in 2004 at the age of 14. She fought a brave battle for 6 years while also passionately fundraising for St Baldrick's and other organizations helping children with pediatric cancer. This year the Napper Tandy's event will be occur 2 days prior to what is her 30th birthday; March 9th.

Jen made the ultimate sacrifice in this war on pediatric cancer when she passed on May 25, 2010, having just turned 20. The Jen's Ducks team was founded the following year with Jennifer as the honored child at the Northport events. You can read more about Jennifer on her "Honored Kids" page here: https://www.stbaldricks.org/kids/mypage/1780

Each year the team is made up of a varying group of friends, family, and coworkers all coming together to honor Jen, doing what they can to help bring about change. We are always open to anyone wanting to join the "ducks" and help us reach our goals by investing their time (and their hair) in support of St Baldrick's mission to fund the most promising research and talent specific to pediatric cancers.
