We are the Boston B's (Brady, Ben, and Bob) three generations of Northern B's. Last year Brady (3 yrs old at the time) and I (Ben) discovered this great charity a little late in the game, but did our best to try to raise money for it. This year we are joined by the eldest B (Bob, aka "Grumps") who brings a little less hair up top, but makes up for it with a Santa-like beard that is up for auction. As many of you know, last year I suffered a major heart attack, which almost cost me my life. Ironically, you'd think my charity of choice would be the American Heart Association or some heart related organization, but no! Heart disease can be managed. Awareness and great medical advances have made heart disease a manageable illness... Childhood cancer is not! We are still a long way from making the advances needed to get this horrific disease under control. Many of these kids don't even get a chance, but with our help... AND, MORE IMPORTANTLY, YOUR HELP, we can take another step towards giving these kids a better chance in life! Therefore....
We have answered the call to be heroes! We've teamed up to have our heads shaved – to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
Please support us with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when we ask for your support, we're really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
