Celebrating 25 Years

As you may know, for the past four years Gene has worked at Sunrise Day Camp for kids with cancer. Over the years he’s watched these children battle a disease that’s devastating for adults to deal with, much less children who are supposed to be out on the playground not in hospitals. Sadly, he’s also attended too many funerals of children he’s grown to know and love. Indeed, our whole family has grown emotionally attached to Sunrise and to the children it serves.

So in honor of the children of Sunrise, on March 8th we’re all once again shaving our heads to help raise money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. This international charity funds research into causes of and cures for children’s cancer. In only eight short years since its founding it has granted more than $127 million to hundreds of child cancer research groups, making it the largest funder of such research other than the US government.

Please support us as we do what we can to help the children of Sunrise and children fighting cancer everywhere.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
