New years eve 2014, then 4, Lexi began to fill ill. After a few days of not getting better we took her to her local pediatrician. He then sent us to the er with the thought of panomina. After a ct our er felt the extent of the panomina was beyond their capabilities to treat and sent us by squad and hr away to Nationwide Childrens. Once there they preformed their own Ct, and that's when our world came crashing down. They sat us down in a room and told us what we thought was lung surrounded by fluid was actually a giant tumor surrounded by fluid and that her lung was collapsed under it. Her heart and left lung we being pushed to the left due to size of the tumor. We were admitted and the next day she was sedated and test preformed. She was diagnosed with localized Ewings Sarcoma to 3rd right rib. She remain sedated for 8 days. Chemo began during that time. After 6 round of Chemo she had surgery. 1/2 of ribs 2 3 and 4 were removed along with 1/4 of rib 5 and what was remaining of tumor. She then had 11 more round of chemo. She finished treatment Oct. 17th 2015 and has 9 month scans 7/18/16.
