We are Oakland County’s premiere roller derby league! The Oakland Derby Diamonds is a women’s flat track roller derby league founded in 2011 by a group of derby-loving women. What began as a living room conversation about starting a league quickly became a reality. Within a year, we recruited fresh meat, trained hard, WFTDA tested and started bouting. The Oakland Derby Diamonds are all unpaid, amateur skaters with members running all aspects of the league including coaching, bout production, public relations, fundraising, training and merchandising. Our announcers, refs and NSO’s volunteer their time and help with the success of ODD through their love of derby. We also donate our time volunteering at fundraising events and support our derby sisters with their individual charitable causes. .
