What’s better than shaving your head to support childhood cancer research? Banding together as a team to raise even more!

Krista's Crusaders are a team of loyal shavers who have joined together every year since 2016 to shave our heads to raise money for childhood cancer research! Our Team’s name is focused on Krista! She was a wonderful kid who was diagnosed with brain cancer (tumor) when she was 7 years old, back in 2003. She was a courageous fighter, who took on cancer with such strength, poise, and determination. Her fight ended when she was 11 years old when she became an angel.

During the almost 4-year battle (radiation, chemo, hospital visits, needle pricks, medicine, losing her hair multiple times, and so many more things), she stayed in love with life, her family, the Lord Jesus, and her friends. Cancer may have taken her life, but her memory lives on. Krista changed the world for everyone who knew her. A friend recently wrote and sang a beautiful song that was inspired by the stories he's heard. You can view that video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vzWGpVRvJ4 on YouTube or by searching for “Change the world Krista Wolfe”. Check it out!!

While we cannot save her, we can help other kids who are fighting that battle. So, we shave, we raise, and we keep on going day after day, hoping that a cure is found. If you can, please give generously, to give kids with cancer the long, healthy lives they deserve.

Finally, this is the third year we are shaving without our friend and team member, Jesus Gallegos. Our good friend, colleague, and 6 year St. Baldricks teammate, Jesus Gallegos, passed away suddenly in June 2022. He left behind a beautiful wife and daughter, who both miss him more than words can say.

We will shave in memory of Krista but also in memory of Jesus. He was a an amazing friend!

So, will you please support our team with a donation? The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research.

Thank you for your consideration and support!!
