Hello everyone, this year myself and a few of my coworker's have decided to do a team shave again for St. Baldricks. As you know I have shaved my head every year for St. Baldricks for the past 5 years and Jonathan Thornton has participated for the last 2 years. We also had 1 team member who participated in there first shave last year and eager to join again this year. We are once again doing this in honor of a brave little girl who was diagnosed with Wilms stage IV tumor a week before her 8th birthday, As a result she has had her kidney removed but not her sass-a-frass attitude! Our team is dedicating our shave again this year to Emma, we have named our team Emma's Purple Promise Keepers. As FedEx employees and keepers of the Purple Promise we strive to make every experience outstanding, we hope that this endeavor can make the good parts of Emma's journey outstanding and encourage her to keep fighting the good fight year after year!
We are shaving our heads to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So we decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Now we need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
