I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Sactown Baldies

Hola Family and Friends, its that time of year again. A great organization is raising money for child cancer research and I'm gonna do my part and raise awareness, donations and shave my head in solidarity for all the kids who have lost their own during their brave battle.

Zack? Aren't you like kinda bald already??

Me: What?? I'm going bald??? Jkjk

This isn't about hair collection for wigs (shouts to locks of love) its solidarity for children who are scared and sick.  I'm used to shaving my head but what about the kid who has to take a school yearbook photo and feels different, what about the kid who can't even make it to school, what about the family that doesn't have a chance to send their child to school at all anymore.

When one of my best friends battled cancer himself, at times he was in the children's oncology ward.  Seeing the pain and struggle these kids and their families go through every visit shook me to my core.  It pains me to even type this.  I f****** hate cancer and what it takes from people.  I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

That being said we have chance to help, a chance to be a part of something bigger than our own small circle.  It is a chance to provide hope for a family, hope for child who longs to run and play outside, hope for a day when an innocent child no longer needs to feel the weight of mortality at such a young age.

Please donate what you can, any amount will help.  Child cancer research is underfunded and needs our help.  It is with great respect and humility that I ask this of you.  Hopefully one day we won't need to do these events anymore, but currently, the battle rages on.  So again, give up that cup of coffee for a week, dine in rather than out, whatever it is send your donations, your love and your hope for new day for these children and the ones who will have to fight in the future.

-Thank You- Zack
