I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: To Shave or Not to Shave Competition

In the fight against childhood cancer every penny counts; that’s why I’m going to try something new… I’m going to let YOU decide whether I shave my head or not!

After receiving many comments along the lines of “I’ll donate more money for you NOT to shave your head…”, I decided to create two profiles for this event; the first, under “Team Bald” at http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/toshave is designed for those who are in support of shaving my head; or the second, under “Team Bob” at http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/nottoshave for those who are opposed.

Whichever of the two profiles raises the highest amount in donations, will decide whether I shave my head. In either case I will cut my hair onsite, shoulder length or shorter (10+ inches), in order to donate the tresses to locks of love; A foundation that makes wigs for kids with cancer. Thus, maintaining my wish to stand in solidarity with kids fighting Cancer AND raise money to find cures.

My goal is to reach twenty-five thousand dollars. That’s one thousand dollars for every year of my life… an amount that is less than a year’s tuition at many universities, less than the average wedding costs, and less than the car you probably drive. All of which many kids with cancer will never get to have, unless we fight for them now.

So please… open your wallets and put your money where your mouth is. Support me and the children with a donation to St. Baldrick’s Foundation, and may the best team win!!!!!!!! 
