I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: OKCRD

When i first learned of the St. Baldrick's organization, i wondered how could i possibly shave my head as a fundraiser... Then i started reading the stories of all of the children that have been diagnosed with cancer, and the struggles they go through on a daily basis...about Mason and how his favorite song was the Turkey Tango and he wanted to be on stage and sing it with his class and couldn't because he was undergoing treatment....and then i realized they don't have a choice in losing their hair. I have been blessed with two healthy little boys (one of which loves the Turkey Tango) and am very thankful that I have not had to endure the battles that these children and their parents have had to endure. So then question became, how could I NOT shave my head and do my part to help fund research to help these children and their families. My hair is a very small price to pay to show my support of these children and their families. I am very proud to be a supporter of St. Baldrick's Foundation. I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to participate in OKCRD's St. Baldrick's event for a second year.
