I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

In July of 1973, a 12 year old cousin of mine died of cancer. On April 18, I will shave my head in public as a way to show my support for children inflicted with cancer and who have no choice but to lose their hair. And by accepting donations for shaving my head, I am raising money and awareness for children's cancer and the research needed to find a cure. This is my 3rd year shaving my head for the St. Baldrick's Foundation (www.stbaldricks.org) and I once again need your help. I am accepting donations in an effort to do my part in helping to find a cure for children's cancer. The easiest way to go about making a donation is to access my personal web page on the St. Baldrick's website at: www.stbaldricks.org/participants/toms Donations may also be made via cash or check, and the instructions for this method are posted on the website. If you're in the Washington , DC area, I very much encourage you to come out to the head shaving event at the Crystal City Sports Pub in Arlington , VA on Sunday April 18, 2010. The event is a lot of fun and there are chances to win door prizes and raffle items. Past raffle items have included signed sports memorabilia and gift cards to local spas. Thank you in advance for any assistance that you may be able to provide! Sincerely, Tom Scibek
