I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: TeamBrent

How much will you donate to see my head shaved? Last month my wife told me about some friends of ours who had a terrible battle on their hands. Third grader Teddy was facing a long road ahead with a tumor in his chest that was originally inoperable and treated with chemo. This child was now facing something that even we as adults fear! After months of treatment over the holidays, they were finally able to operate on the tumor. After removing 98% of the tumor, open-heart surgery was needed to remove the remainder of the tumor attached to his heart. Just this week, doctors removed part of his left Atrium and patched it. Teddy is suffering through some pain and recovering in ICU slowly but surely. More importantly, the Doctors believe that the tumor is fully resected. As a father of three, I truly cannot even imagine the fear he and his family have faced so far and the healing journey yet to come. Teddy's parents are two of the most kind and generous friends one could have. The strength to remain positive throughout this "moment" in life and to instill a positive feeling of confidence in Teddy along with his brother and sister, let alone themselves, is remarkable. It is our duty as friends, as neighbors and as human beings to support each other in even the smallest of ways. A gesture, a note, or even a prayer raises ones heart and hopes. This year on March 6th, I have decided to honor Teddy and the children who struggle with cancer by joining many others in my community to have my head shaved at the annual St. Baldrick's Day event. Please join me in my journey and visit www.stbaldricks.org. I have pledged to raise funds for Cancer research through the foundation and would appreciate your donation, support thoughts and prayers for Teddy and his family. Thank you.
