I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Tara's 3rd hair donation but this time I'm going BALD! Why am I shaving my head at this St. Baldrick's event (supported by the Childhood Cancer Foundation)? Because I am willing to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, who typically lose their hair during treatment. More importantly, I'm doing it to raise funds for childhood cancer research! Worldwide, more than 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. The St. Baldrick's Foundation partners with organizations around the world to fund childhood cancer research. I'm proud to be doing my part to give kids with cancer a better chance for a cure, not only by research but also for clinical trials for children who may not have another option (though the Children's Oncology Group - COG). Please support me and donate to my event by clicking "Make a Donation" above. You may also give by mail or phone. ( if my goal is reached my parents will also cut their hair to donate, unfortunatly not shaved, i'm still working on that ) PS if you don't know me check this out http://www.insidetoronto.com/news-story/2074177-grade-6-student-nominated-for-junior-citizen-of-the-year/#.UR1LHNoLJOY.email Thank you for your support, AS ALWAYS!
