I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

For the 4th time, I've shaved my head to raise funds for children's cancer research, and to stand in solidarity with kids fighting these awful diseases.  I do this because I believe that no parent should have to watch their child die.  I participate in memory of my cousin Michelle, who died of colon cancer at age 30, in support of friends and family who are currently fighting this battle, and in thanks for my two beautiful, healthy children.  (Update:  Since the shaving, my cousin Mark, Michelle's brother, succumbed to lung cancer at age 46.  We miss him.)

My friend's daughter, Olivia, was diagnosed with Leukemia in November 2014 on her 5th birthday. You can follow her story on the supergirlolivia Facebook page. She is amazing. Her family is amazing. And your donation could save her life.

Please support families fighting cancer with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation.  This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the US government.  Your gift will give hope to thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. In past years, with your help, I have raised:

2004 - Old Brogue Irish Pub - $3,783
2008 - Ned Devine's - $6,061
2012 - Fast Eddie's - $4,621

2016 - Now I need your help again! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference. If you're not sure whether to donate, watch the below video.  (Have a tissue handy.)  Then follow your heart. p.s.  In addition to fundraising for St. Baldrick's, I donated my hair to Wigs for Kids (www.wigsforkids.org).
