I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Evening, chaps! (If you are reading this in the evening) I would hope you already know my name based on what is near the top of the page. 8 long years ago, at age 5,  I was diagnosed with cancer. Neuroblastoma Stage 4 to be exact, and according to cancer.net, not exactly the best kind to have. Needless to say, I made it through the whole thing. It took a while (a year, I think), but I made it. Now, I do this every year. Outside of this though, I'm an 8th grader who does well in classes and learns about many STEM topics in his spare time. I'm also a Boy Scout (Life rank, just below Eagle). I remember a while back how I saw a story on the news about some girl who started up an ice cream business at a young age who was a cancer survivor. Going through cancer (the experience likely varies depending on age, for example, I don't remember much) usually makes someone realize that life is finite, so use it. So back to the ice cream. If this kind of thing happens at this age, imagine what can happen if more are allowed to make it through.  We can have more awesome ice cream, but for a much cheaper price. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go get some dessert. Later, chaps!
