I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hey!  My name is Shea Dankenbrink (if you didn't know already) and I'm raising money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures! Now, I need your help. Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Will you make a donation?

The child I am honoring is family-friend, Taylor, who is now a beautiful angel. She was one of my sister's close friends and battled cancer for about two years, and sadly lost that fight at age 11. Taylor was an extremely intelligent and sweet girl, who loved sock monkeys, reading (she had even been reader of the month one summer at our local library), and fashion, and had a heart of gold. She has positively influenced my life and others' in many ways and thus I am raising money in her honor.  At our event, some folks will shave their heads – and others like me will keep the hair we have and put our hearts into supporting childhood cancer research.

During the pandemic, donations have been down sharply, which is a big deal since the St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the largest non-government supporter of childhood cancer research grants.

I want to make sure kids know we care. I want more research to save lives. Please support this cause with a donation. Thank you!
