I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

As a pediatric oncology nurse, I have a front row seat to witness all of the miracles of childhood cancer, as well as all the grief, pain, and loss. I get to be there for the very best days; the days we get to celebrate a final dose of chemo, the days we have a dance party for the end of treatment, the days I get to see the absolute strength of these amazing kids who just want to be normal kids.

But I also have been there for the very worst days; the days a family gets the news their precious child has cancer, the days they just can't bring themselves to take any more pills, the days when they take their last breath.

So, I've decided to take a stand. This March I will be joining St. Baldrick's Foundation and shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research. This disease is awful, sneaky, and just plain mean, but these kids are so much stronger. Let's help them fight this battle!

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
