Admittedly, shaving my head these days is not a particularly heavy sacrifice as I "gave up" years ago. But when Rowan brought home information about this event, with active participation from his school, I still felt like it was a great opportunity to rally attention and help raise funds for kids in need. I have raised money for this cause before and still feel that there is no greater cause than researching ways to help kids and families fight childhood cancer. I am so incredibly lucky and thankful to be the father of a healthy little boy and cannot fathom how difficult it would be to watch your child go through this struggle.
Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!
