Hey All,
I don't know how many people you've known with cancer, but I've known more than a few. Some are still with us today. Others not. Every instance was a huge strain for the families and friends of those afflicted. I have a real soft spot for the kids, because often times they don't understand what's happening in their little world and are forced to grow up much faster than they should have to.
My effort is dedicated to Faith Marr. She's a very sweet girl, and I know her dad both from the Marines and from Nike. She's a survivor and just a great gal overall. Her story is on caringbridge:
http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/faithmarr I don't know if she will be directly assisted by this, but I'm sure some of the organizations that helped her and others like her received funds from St. Baldrick's.
Please do what you can. I know times are tight, but that's when folks need help the most. Many of my friends aren't Jesus huggers like I am, but to quote the bible:
"If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?" --I John 3:17
Even a dollar will help. Thanks and God Bless!
Semper Fidelis,
Rodger
