Hi, I’m Regina Pizzano and I’m raising money to support best friend and cousin, Olivia. At the age of 16, as sophomore at NCS, she was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. It is a extremely rare, comprising only 2% of childhood cancers. Due to the small percentage, very few research dollars is directed towards treatment. Thankfully, Olivia just finished up all her treatments, and is now cancer free. Last June, Olivia had the amazing idea of sponsoring an event, with the St. Baldrick's Foundation, Brave the Shave. A shocking 300,000 dollars was raised to support Osteosarcoma research. Participants shaved their heads, or cut off 8 inches for wigs. Olivia is someone who I will always look up to and admire. She is sponsoring this event once again this year, so any donations toward supporting the children battling through this awful diagnosis will help!
