I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I do not claim to be a hero! The children and their families are the Heros in this voyage. I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, their families and friends, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. As a parent, grandparent and teacher I have seen Cancer take my loved ones and my students. It was my students being affected that brought me to my knees. As a high school teacher I never thought I would be ask to lie beside Leola as she fought. I am privileged to have known her and loved her. She remains a part of who I am today. And again this year I have a student in a battle against cancer. I want to in any way possible to ensure children laugh, cry, skin their knees, learn something new each day and are allowed to grow into adults with wondrous futures ahead of them. Please help me help those who are seeking cures for our children.

Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
