Celebrating 25 Years

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Hope for Daisy

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Hope for Daisy

Here are some very sobering statistics regarding Cancer in Children:

- Worldwide, a child is diagnosed with Cancer every 2 minutes.

 - More children are lost to cancer in the US than any other disease.

 - Since 1980, fewer than 10 drugs have been developed for use in children with cancer.

 - Only 4% of federal government cancer research funding goes to study pediatric cancer.

These are only a few reasons why Syri and I are raising money for St. Baldrick's, the main reason is to support our friend Daisy. This sweet girl has been battling cancer for more than half her life. She was first diagnosed with Medulloblastoma at the tender age of 6. Her first treatment appeared to have worked but the cancer came back and she was forced to undergo additional treatments, which also proved to be ineffective.

At this time, Daisy has exhausted all traditional cancer treatments and is currently taking an experimental drug. Through all of this, she continues to go through life with a smile and loves to tell jokes to whoever will listen.

Daisy is the reason why we are asking you to join us in the fight against pediatric cancer. Kids like Daisy need our help now.
