It's that time of the year again! On March 15th I will be heading down to Coors Field for the 17th Annual Fado St. Baldrick's Denver Event to shave my head and raise funds for the St. Baldrick's Foundation.
Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. Together we can raise money to help with childhood cancer research.
It has been 10 years since little Tuesday Whitt passed away from neuroblastoma, and this team has been raising funds and shaving heads to help other kids and families impacted by cancer ever since! This will be my sixth year participating in this event. Last year was such a great success! With your help, I raised over $2,600. This year Team Tuesday has the opportunity to hit $500,000 raised over the past 10 years! Can you help us reach this amazing landmark?
As I look back at the past 6 years, I am reminded of the love and support I felt from friends, family, and teammates. It is such an incredible feeling being in that tent with hundreds of people who have banned together for one common cause. Everyone has different stories and reasons for participating in this event, and all of them are amazing to hear. Personally, I shave for Tuesday, and for Khia Backlund, my best friend who passed away when we were 10 from leukemia.
Please help me out, and lets raise some funds for a great cause and a great event! Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Cancer sucks, and I will do whatever I can to help researchers find an end to it.
