I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Buzz Off Cancer!

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Buzz Off Cancer!

On March 11th, I’m shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that almost 15,000 children and teens (19 & younger) are diagnosed with cancer each year in the United States? 1 out of 8 children with cancer will not survive and the #1 cause of death by disease in children is cancer. That SUCKS! Kids’ cancers are different from adult cancers and childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. Yes, I am only one person and can not cure cancer, but I can raise money for childhood cancer research. Shaving my locks is only a means to gain your financial support and in no way compares to the pain and suffering that accompanies cancer. Unlike the story of Samson, I do not possess strength from my hair. My power and confidence is because of the person that I am on the inside and my actions reflect who I am. Please support my actions by making a donation to St. Baldrick’s to support my fundraising efforts! Thank you! Dianna Heikkila

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
