I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Kaylee

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Kaylee

Last year, I supported the St. Baldrick's Foundation as a shavee and promoter of the event because childhood cancer became a real threat to my family when my granddaughter, Kaylee Brady, was diagnosed with Burkitt's Leukemia last year. The threat became a tragedy when Kaylee died from the disease in July. The devastation left by the death of a child is immeasurable and the lack of resources applied to finding a cure for childhood cancers is unconscionable. The St. Baldrick's Foundation has taken on the mission for raising money required for research to find cures these horrible diseases that government and the medical industry choose not to prioritize. It is beyond sad and shameful that we live in a society that can't focus on a goal of eradicating diseases like childhood cancers but individuals can and will make a difference.

Anyone can help this mission, by becoming a shavee, making whatever monetary  contribution they can, showing up for moral support on March 3, or just helping to get the word out to others.
