I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Peachy Keens

Howdy, y’all! This summer is a BIG one - I'll be joining the 46 Mommas for my TENTH shave in support of childhood cancer research, and I'll be recognized as a Knight Commander for 10 years of volunteer service to St. Baldrick's!

The 2019 national event is back in Washington, DC, where we'll meet with our representatives and advocate for our children and critical research funding for safer, less-toxic treatments and cures. Standing with my fellow Mommas, all touched by childhood cancer, is my honor and my privilege, and I am inspired by their courage and dedication every day.

The best part of this year’s event is Georgia will be joining me once again, and she'll become a Knight of the Bald Table for seven years of volunteer service to St. Baldrick's! She is this year's League Champion for the League of Legendary Heroes, and I'll be  shaving in honor of her TENTH year past diagnosis! It's incredible when I think about how far she's come since December 31, 2009 - the day the world changed forever - and I am so proud and grateful that she chooses to stand up for other kids still in the fight.

Please visit the Georgia and the Peachy Keens Hero Fund and Georgia's blog to keep up with our busy girl and to see how you can help us end childhood cancer. For her, and for the 46 kids diagnosed every weekday, I will continue to raise awareness, hope, and funds for childhood cancer research, and I hope you'll join me. Much love and gratitude, Courtney
