I have been volunteering for our St. Baldrick's event at UH Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital for 5 years.  Every year I encourage others to shave their heads.  It's my turn to step-up to the plate.  Over the last 15 years I have met too many children who have battled cancer and lost their fight, too many parents who have lost a child and too many brothers and sisters who have lost a sibling.

2 years ago I said that I would shave my head if Sophia, Piper or Luke asked me to do it... they didn't and now two of them can't ask me if they wanted to because they are no longer with us.  I'm shaving my head for them and all of my other friends I have lost along the way.  I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research so that we don't lose any more friends!

Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.  My brother and I have teamed up this year and we have an anonymous sponsor who will match our total dollars raised up to $5,000.
