Last year, our brother Michael’s daughter, Olivia, was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer called Osteosarcoma. Since her diagnosis, Olivia has battled through aggressive rounds of chemotherapy, numerous stays at the hospital, and limb-sparing knee surgery. She also has given up many of the activities that she was involved with both in and out of school. We are thankful that Olivia is now in remission, feeling better, and resuming her school and social activities.
Unfortunately, the advancement of treatment and survival rate for rare cancers like Osteosarcoma, has not been meaningful for nearly 40 years. This cancer continues to devastate families and we need to help find a way to stop it!
Michael and his friends established the Osteosarcoma Collaborative St. Baldrick’s Grant to Cure Osteosarcoma, which will fund a research center to speed up and help find a cure for our niece, Olivia and other kids who have been diagnosed with this nasty cancer.
Our fundraising efforts here are to help the Osteosarcoma Collaborative reach its goal of $1.5 million over the next 3 years. We need to find a cure and we need your help. Your donations will truly make a difference.
