I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team New Research 8

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! For several years I’ve been a volunteer shavee for St. Baldricks. I started in honor of Haley T, who I met through friends of my wife, Patrick and Wendy. Haley passed away from cancer a few years ago but we continue to be friends with her parents and continue to witness their fight to prevent other families from going through what they’ve been through. Last year was the first time I was a shavee as a father. My son does not have childhood cancer but it meant more to me knowing what it’s like to be a father and to know what that bond between a parent and a child feels like. I don’t know what it feels like to find out my child has cancer or what it feels like to have my life turned upside down from everything a family has to go through when a child has cancer. I never want to know what it feels like and that is why it’s important to be a part of the solution to find the cure. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
