I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

If you know me, you know I have long hair that I’m very attached to. Not having it would feel weird and cold and not normal. But here’s the thing; I have a choice in the matter. I can decide to shave my head or decide to keep my hair. I decided to become a shavee for all the kids who don’t get that choice and who go through a lot more discomfort than I will by not having hair. The best part? Shaving my head helps raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? And that childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded? Something needs to be done about that; our children are our future, and we need to help them live the long lives they deserve. But what can we do about it? Well I decided to team up with St. Baldrick’s and start raising money to find cures for cancer, but I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Thanks in advance for your donation, and if you’re in the area, consider coming out to the event and maybe even shaving your head, too! I promise you we can get through it together!

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
