This year I will be taking part in Saint Baldricks at York Community High School. I am doing this in honor of my friend Kira Spedale who died of DIPG cancer in 2014. She was a close friend and Vis classmate that I admired for her strength and great attitude through it all. It was heartbreaking that anyone had to go through anything like this especially someone who brought so much joy. So I am hoping to help others by donating to help childhood cancer research by participating in Saint Baldricks and getting my hair shaved off. Cancer is a terrible disease, and no person or family should ever have to go through it.
I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
