I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Westhaven Warriors

2018 will be our 7th year in a row that my son Robby and I, and 6th year with my son Andrew that we will shave our heads on Saturday March 17th to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures!  When we started this 6/7 years ago I never realized it would become an annual event and definitely didn't think it would last this long.  This year is a special year for Robby and I, as we will be "Knighted" for shaving our heads 7 years in a row which was a goal we set several years back.  Andrew will have to wait one more year but is determined to reach this milestone with us for this great organization.

Last year we were able to raise over $13,500 for the local event that collectively raised over $250,000! This is a huge amount of money raised and is all because of your generous support. As my son’s and I have become accustomed now to the spring shave look, they say we do the easy part. “It is not a big deal to shave our heads so that we can raise money to help kids our own ages". They have been able to grasp that these kids are forced to deal with things much larger than walking into school the next day without hair when they are not sick. I am obviously proud of them for what they have learned and learned to support.  Please support us with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants!
