My freshman year of college I was introduced to an incredible young man. One of my professors had a son who had been diagnosed with ewing sarcoma, a rare bone cancer. Though my interactions with Tommy were few, they have stayed with me. His bravery and strength were inspiring. Tommy's positive outlook on life is the benchmark for how we should all face each day. Tommy is an angel now, and it's in his honor that I am participating in St. Baldrick's to fund research to help eradicate childhood cancer and make sure NO CHILD has to deal with cancer EVER again.
I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
