I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: LES/ LESTER's DRAGONS

St Baldrick's greetings  EVERYONE!!!

I hope this message finds everyone enjoying the wonders of Winter and basking in the Blessings of good health, prosperity, and a general sense of peace....These are things that are incredible precious to us all and often taken for granted,  but often in are in short supply to many in our communities and around the globe.

In case you hadn't guessed by now, I'm shaving my head again, along with many other brave souls on March 10th as both a sympathetic gesture for kids and as a visible means of raising awareness to the ever present and much needed funds required for childhood breakthrough pediatric cancer research!

This will be my 10th year sheering it all off !!!   Hard to believe!!!! This event in Lawrenceville has been hugely successful for the cause as its overall numbers over the course of the past 11 years have steadily improved due to to the generous nature of folks like yourselves.

Last year, we finally cracked  the $1,000,000 mark during the  event,  no small feat indeed !!!    Now you should know, I've gotten rather fond of keeping my hair on the shorter side because of this event but I've also  not cut it since early November.  Needless to say, my hair is getting pretty shaggy. Personally, my wife Jennifer can't wait for March 10th to get here as she likes it short as well. But, I digress,...I truly do need your need your help today or in the very near future.

Shaving ones head is certainly not for everyone but I can tell you, everyone that has done it, especially as it pertains to this great cause (and may I add, especially when the shavee is a young girl or a woman) is an incredible moment!!!  Not only is it extremely liberating, but it also creates a unique sense of comradery and kinship that can't quite be found in other fundraising efforts.

Here are some of the startling facts....Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I've decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. And there have been some miraculous cures found through research and while the need is great, the desire of so many to cure this awful disease is greater. As is the goodness and generosity of others both friends, family members, and even strangers. Please help in this battle to help our kids

Now I really need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

I'd like to dedicate my efforts again to ALL kids who are currently in treatment with some form of pediatric cancer, but also to a very special little Kindergartener named Jillian Massey. I never personally knew this very special little girl, but I can tell you, her much too shortened life affected thousands!!!

Reading about Jillian' struggles, live and untimely passing through a friend who's own daughter was going through treatments down at Philadelphia's renowned CHOP hospital, rocked me in a way I'm still coming to terms with.

If you care to know more about this extraordinary little girl, I encourage you to go to click  the link below to her Facebook page ,

https://www.facebook.com/Jillian-Paige-You-got-this-girl-612661515569210/

There are many out there, infants, Kindergarten aged kids like Jillian and the student's in my own class, middle school kids and even High School children. Cancer doesn't discriminate. It tries to take anyone it can. Perhaps you know a young person who is in such a fight. It's a fight we have to win and we will win it with your support, both financial and spiritual.

If you'd like to make a donation to this great cause, click the link below or the green tab above.  They've really streamlined the process.!!!  I've set a lofty goal myself this year but with your help and encouragement as well as your generosity,  I will meet and maybe even surpass my hopes  in meeting it!!!!

As I wrap this up by saying....from my family to yours, many thanks for the help, support, generosity and love during this very laudable  fundraising campaign.

And may I also offer a wish and a hope,  the good Lord continues to Bless and keep you and your own families and friends out of  harm's way and cancers dangerous and perilous.

May Peace and Love be with us all...

Jeffrey
