I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm raising money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

I do this because I promised my Aiden that I would.  Our very last words to him that we would fight to have a world where this did not happen, where cancer is not a death sentence, where cancer treatments do not kill, where families no longer mourn a loss and live with permanent broken hearts. I do this so that someday there will be a world where grandparents aren't losing their grandchildren and where parents aren't losing their babies. I do this so that the treatments that are out there will not make these kids even sicker. Aiden was actually NED (no evidence of disease) when he passed. The treatments for the beast caused him to get suddenly sick and pass before our eyes. WE NEED TO CHANGE THIS.

With all we have been through, I still HOPE  (yes, hope is still in my vocabulary) that if I’m in this “stupid cancer” world every day, I can start to see a change. More kids surviving, more kids beating this, more kids comforted and more families supported through our work at Aiden's Army and the work of organizations like St. Baldrick's Foundation and the 46 Mommas. We want to see more kids LIVING!

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Please help me reach my goal and please help us fund childhood cancer research in Aiden's memory and honor. Thank you,

Aiden's Grandma
