I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: UABAB

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: UABAB

I’ve decided to shave my head in honor of my Nana and my mother’s mother (my grandmother whom I never got the chance to meet). Though both of them didn’t pass away specially from childhood cancers, they unfortunately were both touched with cancer and lost their battles. They were both very strong and independent women and by doing this, I would like to show other young men and women that they can be strong too.

Beauty is not defined by hair. I've decided that I want to shave my head not only to raise awareness for cancer (by helping fund research for Childhood Cancers specifically) and honor my grandmothers, but to show that people are beautiful and powerful without hair. Hair does not define femininity nor should it be something hide behind.

You can do something. Be strong and step out of your comfort zone :)

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
