I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

UPDATE: Anyone donating at least $50 will be entered into a drawing for an autographed Mark Ingram (#22) Saints jersey (photo in gallery).  For each $50 after that you'll receive an additional entry!  Tell your friends, or donate a WHOLE bunch to better your odds of winning!  The raffle will be open to all donors until the Deutsches Haus shaving event, and then the drawing will be held on March 26, 2018.

I've also decided, with my fiancee, that instead of registering for gifts we would ask, instead, for charitable donations.  Obviously, I've chosen St. Baldrick's as my charity.

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

I first got involved with St. Baldrick's the year after my late partner, John, died, 2015. With his being a cancer survivor, I felt it was a fitting tribute to his memory. The entire experience gave me focus and passion and really made me feel like I was making a difference. I shaved again the following year and continued to get the word out about St. Baldrick's and the great things they do.  I gave my scalp a rest in 2017 but continued to work with the organization and volunteered at one of the local events.

Now I need your help again! I've decided to not only raise money in 2018 but I'm donating my hair, too!  Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
